In a regional context marked by persistent urban inequalities and the increasingly visible effects of environmental degradation and climate change, different initiatives in Latin America are opening pathways to transform cities from a care-based approach.
This text documents and reflects on the collective learning process developed within the framework of VILAB Neighborhoods on the Climate Frontlines: challenges and responses from a care-based approach, carried out between March 2025 and March 2026, and co-facilitated by UHPH, CEDEUS, CentroGeo–SECIHTI, Hábitat para la Humanidad, and ONU-HABITAT.
